On the afternoon of April 3, ZHENG Chunrong, Secretary of the CPC of the School of Foreign Studies Committee of Tongji University, led a team to conduct research at iFLYTEK (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd. HU Qi, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Studies, heads of various departments, representatives of core teachers, and teaching and administrative staff participated in the research.

This research focused on the industrial demands for intelligent language services, and in-depth exchanges were held on topics such as talent training models, technology-empowered language education, and industry-university-research collaborative education.
Visiting and Experiencing: Approaching the Frontiers of AI Language Technology
The research team first visited the iFLYTEK Artificial Intelligence Experience Hall, and learned on the spot about the application achievements of technologies such as intelligent speech, multilingual translation, and large language models in education, business, medical care and other scenarios. They experienced products such as real-time translators and AI simultaneous interpretation systems on site, gained a direct understanding of the digital and intelligent transformation of language services, and exchanged ideas with technical personnel on topics such as intelligent translation quality evaluation, multilingual corpus construction, and human-machine collaboration models.
Forum and Exchange: From Employment Standards to Training Standards
At the research forum, the two sides conducted an in-depth dialogue focusing on the accurate alignment of talent training with industrial demands, and reached a consensus that the post competency requirements from the front line of the industry should be integrated into the entire training process in advance, promote the transformation of employment standards into training standards, and explore new models for foreign language talent cultivation in the AI era.
The two sides also conducted preliminary discussions on the development trends of industry technologies, the application of cutting-edge technologies and potential directions for scientific research cooperation, laying a solid foundation for further deepening the integration of industry and education.
